It's almost baby time!

Happy Saturday!
Well, I am 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  Baby girl is scheduled to arrive on July 18th, which is one week from Monday!  My blood pressure has been up since I hit 36 weeks and 1 day and I felt awful for the whole week, until yesterday.  I went to my appointment for my non-stress test (NST) and everything was great, baby was very active and her heart rate went up with movement and back down when she stopped which is what the doctor's look for.  Also, my BP was good 132/80 so they sent me on my way.
I go on Monday for another NST and pre op appointment to go over everything (since this is my 3rd c-section, I'm pretty familiar.)  So unless I go into labor, we only have 9 more days to meet this little baby girl.
The boys are pretty different.  Clark is really excited, he has asked about holding her, he was ready to wear his bigger brother shirt and when there was a false alarm (where I was sent to the hospital for what ended up being monitoring) he was running around the neighborhood telling everyone! Charlie on the other hand has no clue and says he is excited but really he is just excited about everything.  I wish I could bottle up the joy he has and contain it somehow.
Now back to the if I go into labor part, that scares me.  With this being my third, I do feel the BH contractions a LOT more.  They are getting stronger as well.  When I was at my NST this past Tuesday, I was having them regular and the doctor insisted on checking my cervix, not dilated at all.  But with this new feeling of normal and these contractions, I do feel like there is the possibility of going into labor before delivery day.   That concerns me because: 1. I worry about things like this, 2. I do not want to labor because I do not have to, 3. We live about 45 minutes away from the hospital we are delivering at! I have scratched off the #4 reason, that was my doctor may not be on call but really now I feel that is ok.
So this may be my last update before baby is here.  I just wanted to write an update of how it's going.   Also I am doing AWESOME drinking water.  I drink at least 4 bottles each day which is the 8 glasses that are recommended.  I really want to keep this up after baby arrives.  It may even help with my milk to come in (for once!)

House of boys will have an addition

A girl!! After July Im not going to be the only one in my household. So weird. After 7 years of being a mom to boys, I am having a little girl and it is soooo different.  The choices are ridiculously overwhelming. I am going with graybwalls in the nursery. I am not a pink person so I choose coral and gold as my accent colors. Here are the fabrics I got in the mail so far:
I need something with a darker gray to go along witht these and I found some white with little gold triangles Ill use for sheets I think. Im pretty happy how they coordinate just from looking online!

Baby fever AND spring fever!

I always have some sort of variation of spring fever by this time in January.  I am ok with it being cold outside during December and know that it will be cold for months later but usually I develop spring fever sometime mid January.  Once it hits March, I put away the brown shoes and boots and get out my flats and tennis shoes.  This year, because a baby is coming in July, I have spring fever and baby fever at the same time.  It's not good.  There has been snow, cold temps, and no sign of spring anywhere!  I like to think about planting my garden in the next few months and usually grab a potted flower from the store to help me think about spring coming.  My plan is to enjoy the next few months though since I am in my second trimester and usually this is when I feel the best during my pregnancy.

Even though spring is not coming very soon, I am planning to do some small changes around the house.  My living room will get a small makeover of new throw pillows, blankets, and I am going to try and find another area rug.  Focusing on something small will redirect things in my head.  Ha!  Another thing I am doing is adding some new items in my Little Addition shop.  I am going to try out some new baby things that were not around when I had Charlie (only 4 years ago.) Man how quickly baby things change!!!!

I was going to show you a quick view of my living room.  It is a disaster of toys so the photo will wait. I hope to post an after shot soon as I find some new items.  My obsession with Fixer Upper has lead me to more neutrals than before and so I am in search of them! I 💛 TJMaxx but have yet to see the right things...soon, I just know it. Until then, here are my Valentines roses.  They make me smile.

New Year's Eve 2015

Yep, it's been a LOOONNG while since I last posted. It was funny looking over all the past posts I have made, mistakes and all!! I am still hand washing my dishes, now because my dishwasher has not been working for a while, the drain doesn't work correctly and standing water leads to mold! I have a new set of goals for this year:
1. Pay off my school loans-finally!
2. Pay off my car
3. Start paying off Scott's new truck
4. Make a more organized home (especially with bills/receipts)
5. Add an addition of some sort to the house
6. Paint kitchen cabinets gray (end of summer)

There is always an excitement the new year brings. It's a time of reflection, a time of "newness" starting over, and a slight change of pace.  Happy New Year, 2016!  I see BIG changes this year!

Hand wash challenge! Who's in??

Ok well I have started the hand-wash only challenge. I made it up. I am trying to not use the dishwasher unless we have guests over or we have a busy night or something right after dinner. I noticed my top rack never dries so I constantly unload and put in the sink to dry. Then later I go back and put them away. Since I scrub the dishes before they go into the djshwasher any ways, why not add soap and wash them. I guess I am saving a step. I can easily do this now with being off  for the summer I just am not sure how long I will keep it going when I go back to work. My favorite tool to clean dishes:
Yes a baby bottle brush! It scrubs off everything and great to get inside cups, glasses and cleans utensils as well.
I do not want to have my kitche sink full but like I said I was having to load it full illf dishes to dry any ways!
And here is my favorite dish soap:
I love this stuff. It is super concentrated so you don't have to use a lot and it lasts forever!! No one paid me to say this, just my opinion!
So anyone else up for a challenge?  I think Ill make it to the one month mark and then Ill try for 3 months!

Recent Family photos

Well the summer is flying by. We started with a giant mess of a yard, literally the 1st day of our summer break. As soon as it was finished we were able to get started with some landscaping projects and now that most of that is done we are hoping to do some relaxing for sure.

Here is a picture of Scott and I before we went out for our anniversary dinner. Nothing fancy, in fact we decided Chipotle was the way to go! Love that place. If you like burritos, go there. If you like salsa and chips, go there. If you want to eat a lot and still feel healthy, well go there!

This is our silly boy Clark, ready to get his eye exam on for kindergarten. He kept saying, what is taking so long? Um that's a doctor's office, Clark. They are busy. We did find out he has an astigmatism, like I do so we will bring him back next year to see if his vision has changed. I'm thinking he will need glasses eventually.

And our little stinker, Charlie. I can't believe how strong he is. Holds his own in many ways. He is 2 1/2 but keeps up with the big kids, until nap time, of course!

Feels so nice to enjoy our summers off! Teachers, don't you agree? We NEED this time though so those of you that do not teach, no comments. Lol
